Job Summary

Collaborates with the Head of Employee Relations and HR Compliance in leading the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and practices to ensure a fair, respectful, and legally compliant workplace. Serves as a key advisor to leadership, ensuring that employee relations issues are handled effectively and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives and promote a culture of respect, compliance and align with TMHCC’s Good Company values.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR business partners and management on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, accommodations, workforce reductions, and policy violations, offering guidance and support.
  • Conduct internal investigations and recommend appropriate actions as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees and management on compliance-related topics, including anti-discrimination laws, harassment prevention, and workplace safety.
  • Monitor and analyze employee relations metrics and trends and prepare reports. Identify opportunities and potential risks and work closely with the HR leadership to develop strategies for mitigating risks.
  • Stay informed of changes in employment laws and regulations. Regularly review industry best practices and recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.
  • Lead the development and implementation of regular employee policies updates, ensuring they are up-to-date, legally compliant with all federal, state, and local employment laws, and aligned with best practices. Work with HR department heads and legal counsel as necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with the TA team in reviewing as assessing background check results. Make recommendations regarding candidate eligibility based on findings and company policies. Work with legal counsel as necessary to ensure compliance with FCRA and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in the company in legal proceedings as directed by legal counsel and when necessary.
  • Support other HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
Education Requirements

  • Minimum 4 Year / bachelor's degree in human resources management, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience


Certification, Licenses, and Designations

  • Preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.


Experience

  • 8-10 Years Relevant and progressive Employee Relations experience required
  • 6 years leadership experience
