Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Sitecore Developer to join our new Product Experience (PX) Practice, reporting to our Digital Technical Lead. This role is critical in ensuring that our digital products deliver intuitive, engaging, and effective user experiences across our platforms - primarily Sitecore, JSS, SXA and React/Next JS. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience in front end development technologies such as JS React/Next JS and Sitecore SXA.

You will work closely with cross-functional product teams, building world class applications. You’ll also act as a key bridge to both IT and business stakeholders, helping shape the future of our digital experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert UX designs to UI components, workflows, and user interfaces across all our digital platforms in JS react/Next JS and Sitecore.
  • Build component libraries in Sitecore JSS, SXA and React/Next JS.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, business analysts to ensure user-centred design is built across all initiatives.
  • Build components as per best practices and high standard with efficiency.
  • Build reusable and shared component library which can be used by multiple projects.
  • Engage with other developers and other teams to advocate for user-centric solutions and enhance designs.
  • Must have worked with platforms such as Sitecore XMC.
  • Contribute to the evolution and adoption of UX standards, guidelines, and toolkits.
  • Contribute product teams through POC’s, ideation sessions, and design sprints.

Performance Objectives:

  • Build frontend and enhance overall UI/UX.
  • Contribute to the evolution and adoption of UX standards, guidelines, and toolkits.
  • Upskill colleagues in React and Sitecore.

Skills and Experience Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience in Sitecore development, ideally within a large and matrixed organization.
  • Hands-on experience in Sitecore development with JS React/Next JS and SXA component library, must have used tools/software to manage Sitecore XPC (Managed Cloud Offering.
  • Frontend development and deployment pipeline knowledge such as Gulp, NPM, Bower and Webpack etc.
  • Hands-on GitHub operational knowledge.
  • Solid experience in application building from scratch.
  • Previous experience working with development teams and ability to follow brand guidelines.
  • Strong experience across the full Development lifecycle from building UI from wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Ability to upgrade and learn new technology.
  • Deep understanding of user-cantered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with Sitecore SXA, Pega, and Guidewire Digital platforms.
